Papeete photos only...

I have no more patience for blogspot.com. I'm putting in a bunch of photos in no particular order of our time in Papeete and Raiatea (next post).
A new to us "luxury" freighter/cruise ship.

Papeete has lots of murals...

...and lots more churches.

Weather was quite hazy so this is the best I could get of on of their mountains.

Roundabouts have lots of eclectic "art"

A panorama o the bay where Papeete lies.

In the distance, on the left, facing us, is our ship, the Seabourn Quest (in case you forgot!).

Our guide, Lydia, and the passenger who organized her tour for us. It was great!

A beautiful old light house...

...from 1867.

Tiny little crabs...

...make lots of holes in the ground!

A monument to Captain Bligh (who might not have been as bad as he has been portrayed in literature).

Another mural.

A spider lily, flowers are always welcome!

Lots and lots and lots of chickens roam free.

A moa (and yes, Polynesian idols are very similar to Easter Island idols).

A Polynexian place to worship.
